Prenatal & Pediatric Chiropractic Care in Palm Beach Gardens

Dedicated to safe, gentle chiropractic care for families across Palm Beach Gardens — from infants and expectant mothers to active adults.

PRENATAL / POSTNATAL & PEDIATRIC CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Arbour Chiropractic delivers gentle, evidence-informed chiropractic care for families across Palm Beach Gardens — from infants and expectant moms to teens and active adults. Located at 11380 Prosperity Farms Rd #216, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410, our clinic specializes in prenatal chiropractic, pediatric care, and family chiropractic services designed to relieve pregnancy back pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, neck and shoulder pain, and common childhood concerns such as colic, reflux issues, torticollis, ear infections, and sleep disruptions. Our Webster-certified prenatal technique and postpartum recovery support help expecting and new mothers find safer, more comfortable pregnancies and smoother recoveries after childbirth.

Keeping your body aligned through every life stage matters. Misalignment during pregnancy can worsen back pain, pelvic discomfort, round ligament pain, and limit mobility during the third trimester. For infants and children, early spinal and cranial support can reduce feeding and reflux issues, improve latch difficulties, and support healthy development. Arbour Chiropractic combines gentle adjustment techniques, trigger point therapy, and personalized care plans to reduce pain, improve function, and support long-term wellness for your entire family.

Our philosophy - Benefits of chiropractic

Contrary to what many people expect, chiropractic care was never designed simply to chase pain. At its heart, it's about supporting the brain and nervous system — the body's command center for almost everything it does.

That's also why chiropractic is proactive rather than reactive. Rather than waiting for a problem to appear, it focuses on helping your body function well from the start: wellness care, not sick care.

It's the idea behind our slogan: you don't need to be in pain to start healing.

Our mission

To help Palm Beach Gardens families experience safer pregnancies, gentler postpartum recoveries, and healthier children through targeted chiropractic care that reduces pain, supports development, and preserves long-term function.

How chiropractic works

Chiropractors are trained in the neuromusculoskeletal system, with a special focus on the joints where two bones meet. Along your spine, these joints let you move, bend, twist, and carry the weight of your body.

Your brain, spinal cord, and spinal nerves make up your nervous system — the body's communication network. The spinal nerves branch off the spinal cord and exit the spine through small openings called the intervertebral foramen, carrying messages to and from every part of the body.

When a spinal joint becomes restricted — stuck, not moving the way it should — the nearby nerves and blood vessels can be affected, and that clear communication is disrupted. Chiropractic adjustments gently restore motion to these joints, helping the nervous system communicate freely again.

This is why chiropractic is about so much more than pain. When the nervous system is communicating well, many people find it supports healthy digestion, immunity, sleep, and mood — alongside the more familiar benefits of better posture, joint mobility, and physical performance.

Why pregnancy care

Pregnancy asks extraordinary things of your body — and chiropractic care is here to support you through every one of them, and into postpartum. Gentle adjustments and manual therapy help ease the joint stiffness, muscle tension, and discomfort that come as your body changes.

The Webster Technique focuses on the bones, muscles, and ligaments around the pelvis to identify imbalance and support optimal pelvic biomechanics in preparation for birth and recovery.

Commonly cared for in pregnancy and postpartum:

  • Low back, SIJ, and hip pain; sciatica
  • Pubic symphysis pain and dysfunction
  • Rib pain
  • Reflux, heartburn, digestive upset, and constipation
  • Headaches and migraines
  • Painful breastfeeding, and the upper-back tension that comes from holding and feeding a new baby
  • Difficulty sleeping, walking, or standing

Why pediatric care

A child's earliest years are a time of remarkable growth. From birth through age three, a child's brain forms more than one million new neural connections every second — and gentle chiropractic care can help support this healthy development.

Little ones may benefit from care for:

  • Neurodevelopment and reaching milestones, including delayed or skipped stages (such as skipping the crawling phase)
  • Tummy-time struggles and tension (arching the back, throwing the head back)
  • Ear aches, chronic ear infections, sinus congestion, and allergies
  • Colic, reflux, and digestive upset
  • Breastfeeding support, including painful latching
  • Tongue and lip ties (tethered oral ties)
  • Injuries and trauma — especially to the head, including whiplash and concussion

Is it safe? Pediatric care looks very different from an adult adjustment. In the first three years, it's mostly gentle cranial work — the force used for a newborn is about the same pressure you could comfortably place against your own eyeball.

Did you know? — a little history

The word chiropractic comes from the Greek cheir ("hand") and praktos ("done") — literally, "done by hand." Manual healing methods reach back to ancient times, but the chiropractic profession as we know it took shape in the United States in the late 19th century.

Fittingly, the very first recorded chiropractic adjustment — performed by D.D. Palmer in 1895 — wasn't for pain at all. It was to help restore a patient's hearing after a spinal injury.

"Dr. Palmer told me that my deafness came from an injury in my spine… he treated me on the spine, and in two treatments I could hear quite well." — Harvey Lillard, 1897

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • Q: Is chiropractic care safe during pregnancy?

A: Yes. At Arbour Chiropractic, we use pregnancy-adapted positioning and techniques, including the Webster Technique, to keep care safe, effective, and comfortable throughout all trimesters. We also have pregnancy pillows to comfortably accommodate your growing belly at every stage. When needed, we coordinate with your OB-GYN or midwife.

  • Q: What is the Webster Technique and how can it help if my baby is breech?

A: The Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment focused on pelvic balance and soft tissue tension in the pelvis. It aims to optimize biomechanical function and reduce uterine constraint, which can create a more favorable environment for fetal positioning. While not a guaranteed solution, many patients report improved pelvic comfort and fetal positioning after care.

  • Q: Are chiropractic adjustments safe for infants?

A: Yes — when performed by a chiropractor trained in pediatric care. Infant adjustments at Arbour Chiropractic are gentle, targeted, and designed for the delicate anatomy of newborns and toddlers. We use minimal force and specific techniques to address feeding issues, torticollis, and symptom patterns like colic or reflux.

  • Q: How many visits will I need?

A: Every patient is unique. Initial evaluations typically include a thorough history and assessment to create a tailored care plan. Some patients see improvement in a few visits, while others follow a longer plan for structural balance and recovery. We’ll discuss realistic expectations during your first appointment.

  • Q: Do you accept insurance?

A: Documentation and billing codes may be provided for submission to your insurance provider. Please contact the office at (561) 320-3334 for details about insurance, self-pay options, and available payment plans.

  • Q: Do you offer any appointment packages or discounts?

Arbour Chiropractic offers packages where patients can purchase 5 appointments upfront and receive a 6th appointment complimentary.

  • Q: Does the package or free appointment expire?

Yes, the complimentary appointment/package expires within 12 months.

  • Q: Do you offer home visits?

Yes, Arbour Chiropractic offers home visits for all patients.

  • Q: Who would benefit most from a home visit?

Home visits can be especially beneficial for late-stage pregnancy, postpartum patients, and large or immunocompromised families.
